Microdermabrasion

WHAT IS MICROERMABRASION?

Microdermabrasion is a technique where the skin is exfoliated by a diamond head with a central vacuum. Exfoliation is great for many skin conditions including acne and sun damage, and for rejuvenation. The outer layer of skin is removed leaving a smooth textured layer underneath.

WHO SHOULD HAVE MICRODERMABRASION?

Everyone who would like fresher, younger, clearer and better textured skin. It should be part of an acne treatment regime.

HOW LONG DOES MICRODERMABRASION TAKE?

45 minutes to 1 hour

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MICRODERMABRASION?

Depending on the problem, you may start by having a series of 6 microdermabrasions every fortnight. After this, microdermabrasions should be performed as part of your facial every 4-6 weeks.

RISKS /SIDE EFFECTS OF MICRODERMABRASION

Microdermabrasion is a very safe procedure, with minimal risks.

Redness is common immediately afterwards, but will usually subside over the next few hours
